Zoë Buckman rode a wave of post-election feminism to prominence in 2016, attracting notice for her feminized boxing gloves, covered with lacy, beaded wedding dresses, and dainty, colorful tea towels. Going on a decade later, Buckman has continued working with vintage domestic textiles, but those fabrics now become canvases for deeply personal figurative paintings, executed in ink and acrylic and embellished with hand embroidery.
